Who said cats are photogenic? xD

This is what became of my last photo-shoot attempt.

Hey there!

Come here and look at the camera :3

No no, up here!

Yes, go ahead and move just as I’m about to take a pic.

*blank stare*

“Hey Lucy, look at me!”

(I’m up here).

Fine then.

I’m bored. Goodbye.

Talk to the tail.

*Sigh*. xD Some of them aren’t that bad I admit. But Β you can never take a good picture on purpose with a cat hahahah xD At the very least not with this one.

When your neighbour’s house gets cut in half….

Stop and take pictures. Because that’s the rational thing to do. xD

This must be the funniest set of photos that I own.

Haha. My neighbour was moving, and apparently they cut his house in half in order to cart it away with him (though I’m not sure if I got the whole story – Β I was on the porch laughing in bewilderment xD. Anyways, this is what it looked like for a while;

Demolition in progress!

Here goes the garage (or half of it at least!)

That’s something you don’t see every day xD

Here goes the roof…

Now that looked WEIRD.

And awaayyy they gooo!

*Poof!* And they’re gone.

Lol, just like taking the lid of a tea pot.Β That must have looked rather odd driving on the street xD

The fluffiest dog you’ll have ever seen

I was on a walk and I saw theee most biggest cutest fluffiest dog! xD

Are you alright in all that fur there? :O

All my other stuff! :3

I thought this would be a cool idea for table place mats. Maybe with a blue tablecloth, to resemble a pond? The flower is from a pattern, the lillypads are improvised.

Fuzzy prickles! πŸ™‚ One of these still sits in its rightful place on my shelf. I believe I may have used a rough pattern as a guide but improvised a little.

The first cactus I made! I don’t even remember how xD But I was so proud.

The monsters from under your bed >:S Did you remember to check? πŸ˜‰ I used a picture to think of this idea but I made up the pattern as I went. My favorite piece of improv so far!

“Let us leave!” “… lettuce leaf? *crunch crunch*.” LOL! Everytime I see lettuce I think of that quote from Avatar The Last Airbender. Actually, this was a part of the Christmas tree I made for the craft sale. But it will always be a piece of lettuce to me.

A bunny and a kitty :3 both were sold to a local craft shop.

I have discovered… the secret of making donuts :O

A bunch of my stuff all piled together xD

This one was completely improvisation. Turned out pretty well πŸ™‚

For this one I actually followed a pattern xD One of my favorite. And I still have it I think!

The shape of this reminds me of a gumdrop xD Followed a pattern for this one too.

Would these be called hedgehogs or porcupines..?

Took so long to get them to stand like this xD

My happy penguin family! :3 I had like seven of these at one point, lol… now they’re all gone!

These are the perfect, no-water-needed, indoor decoration plants πŸ™‚

Mini cupcake and coffeemug, both from patterns.

Easter time! πŸ˜€ (well it was then)

Oh, the seasons…

They can bring such joy! πŸ™‚

Westboro beach….

A “snowbot” I made with a friend πŸ˜€

The seasons can bring art with them πŸ˜€ This is the best possible snowman I could ever conceive of making. Hm I wonder if anyone ever made a robot-style pumpkin for halloween.

I just did a quick internet search and found this amazing creation:

Totoro! :3

What do you think would make the best snowman?

Weather gone wild >:S

This was a couple years back…. it is, however, impossible to forget xD

Here’s Ottawa for you, folks!! The “ink stain” on the map. My family refers to it like this because we once consulted a weather map and at first my parents thought that in the spot where Ottawa was supposed to be, there was just an ink stain… because it was literally a spot of crazy weather in the middle of nothing else xD

And this is why:

Heeere we go….

I feel cold just looking at these xP This was a pretty fun backyard slide though! πŸ˜€

Our poor neighbour’s house was practically buried xD

On the bright side, the snow made a lovely afternoon walk!

However its’ looming presence outside our window was a little… unsettling.

I hope no one needed the swings xD

How beautiful…

I am not that big of a photography zealot, but there are moments every day when I have to just stop and take a picture.

By-walkers must think I’m some sort of lost tourist or something xD

But it’s worth it! πŸ™‚

Most of these are taken with my iphone, which has a rather poor quality (I apologize xP) but it’s usually the only camera I have on hand when these moments occur, πŸ™‚ and it’s better than nothing!

One day a few years ago we had racoons on our backyard fence… thank god the camera was close by!!! The only thing more amazing then this that I rememeber while watching animals is seeing our farm cat in Slovakia give birth to three kittens. But unfortunately I don’t think we have pictures of that…

I hope I’m not the only one who stops in the middle of the sidewalk to stare up at how the sun filters through the leaves :S It’s too beautiful to be overlooked.

This was one day last fall when I was walking home with a friend… I want that sunset framed, and on my wall!

And the winter version.

I just love streets that are full of trees!

I found a caterpillar on our wall! :O

And it tickles :S

I must have been following it for like half an hour xD

What a sudden chill eh? :O

It looks like something out of a winter fairytale book πŸ˜€

Our meowing, scratching, opera-singing, fetching, sleeping, morning-alarm-clock, purring machine.

Called Lucy :3 Her cuteness almost makes up for her constant noise-making. Just kidding, that’s cute about her too. When it’s not at 6am.

She literally makes you trip over your feet to get her food. Though that may be partly because she herself goes under your feet so you have to trip over them just to not step on her. That cat runs around like a crazed chicken.

In the picture above, my friend is trying to get her to sit on top of the HUGE crochet muffin I made (I have another one that looks more like a cupcake :D) so I can take a good picture.

We forgot to take into account that cats not only like being told what to do, they can predict what it is and take special care to not do it.

This may be the perfect time to share one of my all-time-favorite quotes: (I’m not quite certain on who the author is)

“In order to keep a true perspective of one’s importance, everyone should have a dog that will worship him and a cat that will ignore him.”

That stuff is gold.

Sadly we do not have a dog to fulfill that. We just have an ignoring, food demanding, fluffy ball of cuddles.

But you know what, I think that’s enough πŸ™‚

This is one of the best pictures I was able to take of her. I’ve learned that to take pics like these, one needs to master the art of slinking around inconspicuously with a camera to capture just the right moment xD (or in my case the better masked iPhone).

Here she is… in the top shelf of our closet. She made herself a nest amidst our winter scarves. And I have no idea how she got up there xP

Maybe cats can secretly fly.

Or they have learned from us how to construct a ladder.

I’m still going with the flying hypothesis.

At least she wasn’t able to do anything about my taking pictures πŸ™‚

I guess she was in a good mood here.

Cats are perfect lap-warmers xD

But more often she doesn’t like being paparazzied :/

*blank stare*. You win, Lucy. ❀
